About the Company
Our large NSW State Government client functions as a service provider to support sustainable government finances, major public works and maintenance programs, government procurement, information and technology, corporate shared services, consumer protection as well as land and property administration. They are currently seeking a Learning and Development Capability Advisor to join their team in Sydney CBD. This is an estimated 8-month temporary assignment.
About the Role
Working in the People and Culture Change Capability Business Unit, you will Provide support and advice on the development, implementation and evaluation of learning and capability programs, to ensure program/service delivery consistently aligns to key organisational programs and objectives.
Your duties will include, however, will not be limited to the following:
  • Support the design, delivery, and implementation of training programs and materials using a range of delivery modes to build and enhance workforce capability
  • Provide advice to team members in relation to learning and development plans and curriculums for communications professionals, and support the team in the upkeep of relevant and useful information, tools and resources, to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of stakeholders
  • Assist manager and staff to analyse learning and capability results to highlight success measures of the delivery of capability uplift to digital professionals impacted by the program and inform future delivery models
  • Administer the learning management system forum and new user requests to support the learner community with timely access to learner led initiatives and moderation of forum posts, to foster and maintain engagement.
  • Liaise with team members and other project staff and contribute and assist with regular communication broadcasts to the learner community to ensure delivery of timely, consistent and coordinated content
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote a continuous learning and development culture in communications marketing, digital and engagement practitioners to build and enhance organisational capability and ensure that the end user is at the centre of all learning and development activities
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the learning and development community and associated communications, and consider digital tools and methods to promote the various activities and maximise engagement and participation from the learning community

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary communication policies and procedures
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Impeccable stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commit to the duration of the assignment
