This role is to assist the Biologicals communications team to deliver the company vaccine strategy.
Working primarily with senior leadership teams, you should deliver high quality line communication strategies, linked to Vaccines strategy and based on detailed assessment of client need and provide advice during their implementation, monitoring and measurement.
The role requires regular contact with individuals at the highest levels in the organisation, demanding a sound understanding of the department(s) and the management team, good strategic planning skills and judgement as well as attention to detail in implementation.
Required Experience Knowledge:
- Ideally more than 7 years in communication position (preferably in Pharmaceutical business).

- Capacity to manage and prioritize many different projects at the same time.
- Experience in team/project management, including customers and priorities in a worldwide and matrix context.
- Ability to identify and proactively mitigate potential issues, escalating where necessary.

Our client is a global vaccine research, development and production company, that employs over 11,200 people worldwide, of which 7,500 in its three Belgian sites: Rixensart, Wavre and Gembloux.
Be the lead point of contact and communications representative for the management team of 3 departments. The role has a high level view of the business plans for the departments and develops communication strategies that support the delivery of business objectives, on an annual level formally (with quarterly review), but also specific important projects or issues which arise during the course of the year.
- Work together with Head of Global Internal Communications to lead and co-ordinate some projects and programmes that have a company-wide scope.
- Provide expertise on Biologicals centrally managed communication programme, ensuring consistent implementation in the departments she/he works for.
- Partner with BMT heads of one or more departments and their management teams to gain deep knowledge and understanding of that departments needs.
- Develop an annual communication strategy plan with target metrics, to support delivery of the departments business objectives, linking back into the global Biologicals overarching goals.
- Ensure strong internal communication alignment across the department making sure the departmental strategy and objectives are understood and that departmental and global internal key messages are consistently and appropriately cascaded.
- Ensure the implementation of robust and consistent internal communications processes within the department.
- As Business Partner, feed the global internal communications tools (Biosphere, Bio Intranet, global internal meetings) appropriately and participate into the development of the internal communication strategy. Explore any potential continuous improvement initiatives increasing the efficiency of the internal communications activities within the department.
